The LCCM's Summer Beginner Bass Course is the perfect way to get your bass playing started on the right foot. 

This beginner-friendly course is perfect for anyone curious about the role of the bass in music. Over 8 weeks, you'll learn how to play essential bass lines, lock in with rhythm, and support the groove of your favorite songs. Whether you're totally new or just picking up the bass for the first time in years, this course will get you playing fast.

At the end of this course, you will learn:

• How to hold and tune your bass properly
• Left- and right-hand technique for clean playing
• Simple, recognizable bass lines from well-known songs
• Basic rhythm skills and timing with a metronome
• How to play a full song start-to-finish with confidence

Required Background:

• None - This course is intended for those with little to no background in music or on the bass.
• Suitable for ages 7 and up

Required Materials:
To successfully complete this course, you will need:

• Bass Guitar
• Binder
• Notebook

Time Requirements:

To successfully complete this course, the following amount of time will be required: 

• Class Time: Eight (8), One (1) hour in-class lessons, held once per week. 
• Practice Time: Fifteen (15) minutes, Five (5) times per week at home.

• Start Date: Tuesday, July 8th, 2025
• End Date: Tuesday, August 26th, 2025
• Day of the Week: Tuesdays
• Class Time: 4:30p - 5:30p

The total price for this beginner course is $230 per student (all inclusive).

Discounts are available for students that wish to take private, one-on-one lessons with the LCCM in addition to the Beginner Bass Course.
